Have you ever found yourself standing in the garden wondering: "Where do I begin?"
|
It's a familiar predicament many gardeners face. At these times your vision for the garden may seem out of reach. This is the perfect time to consult with a Garden Coach. As your personal Garden Coach, I can teach you how to work with your garden, make good choices and avoid expensive mistakes. Whether you're new to gardening, need help designing a garden or renovating an established garden, coaching can help you make the right decisions. We will work from the ground up because a good healthy soil foundation is the basis for a beautiful healthy garden.
|
As a first step I will ask you about your garden, your concerns and what in particular you want to focus on. This helps me to be prepared to address your specific needs. Next, we will schedule a site visit and garden walk-through. I'll be taking notes and probably some photos to have a detailed record of what you want to accomplish and my recommendations. You'll get on-the-spot advice and instructions as needed and after the visit I'll compile the information into Your Customized Garden Planner. This will help you stay on track to accomplish your goals.

Fees
Garden Coaching is at an hourly rate of $50. Extended consultation fees can be arranged. Distance may be a consideration and may incur travel reimbursement.

About
As a resident of Ulster County, New York, I have more than 30 years experience gardening where the wildlife is plentiful and where I continue to learn peaceful co-existence. My garden has been featured on the Saugerties Secret Gardens Tour and gardening articles that I have written have been published in Hudson Valley Life magazine.
I am a Master Gardener Volunteer with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, a Garden Coach and Coordinator of Garden Day, an annual CCE educational event for gardeners. I have lectured on many topics at public libraries, garden clubs and other venues. During the summer months, I occasionally volunteer at the Saugerties Farmers' Market offering good gardening advice and when not in the garden, you can find me working in my studio creating handmade sculptural tiles, pottery and painted paper collage.
